Young Government Leaders (YGL) Joins Combined Federal Campaign

Over the past year, I was honored to have served on the Executive Board of Young Government Leaders (YGL). In that time, YGL gained it’s official 501(c)(3) non-profit status. They just took another big step as a stable, thriving organization by joining the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) of the National Capital Area. If you live in the Washington metropolitan region, that means you can contribute to YGL as a Federal employee by entering the YGL code #38096 on your agency’s CFC pledge card. A few months ago, I was conducting some research on international mobile phone trends and came across the Open Gardens Blog. Open Gardens is maintained by Ajit Jaokar, the founder of the London-based publishing and research company futuretext which focuses on emerging Web and mobile technologies. I reached out to Ajit and we started discussing the possibility of building a virtual bridge across the Atlantic to share insights and ideas. As a consultant to the European Internet Foundation, he indicated that members were interested in hearing varied perspectives and recommended that we create a “blogger carnival.” Keep Reading ->
