This past Tuesday, I delivered a presentation entitled, “Wikis and Webcasts and iPods, Oh My! Tools to Train the “New Learner.” The slides and handout from that presentation are found at the following links: Slides and Handout. In fact, I learned about a new website in order to make these documents available on a blog. Check out http://www.scribd.com/ if you want to learn more.

Thank you for visiting the Generation Shift blog! I look forward to interacting with you as we work together to promote the power of four generations, social media and flexible work environments to transform the public and social sectors.

I am amazed that I can submit an entry into your blog from my government computer. I feared that I would be unable to access the resources used for this presentation in Norfolk. This is also my first ever “blog” comment. I am unsure if an identity is required as I am not familiar with having one so I will try the Anonymous route the first time. Thank you for allowing me to experiment.

Hello Anonymous,
Congratulations on your first blog post! That’s a big step in your quest to conquer the new learning tools that are available to you and your organization.
Also, I am glad to hear that you are able to make an entry from your government computer. Blogs are excellent tools to learn and interact with others that have the specialized knowledge you need to better perform your functional role.
Please do not hesitate to post other questions or suggestions for new topics to address here.
Again, congrats for taking that first step!
